No issues or problems with this excellently designed device

Worked for 5 months and shut down. Good thing I was doubling in into cloud (didn't trust to it). With overall hard to install option it is very dissatisfactory product.

Returned this drive because the backup software that came with it, could not recognize the drive. Windows could see it fine. Found this has been an issue for other people and couldn’t find a fix. Will look for another plug and play backup solution or just build myself a NAS.

Disappointing, had WD products before. Couldn’t get this to work on my Mac or PC. And the WD website software kept timing out

I can’t really recommend this hard drive it was pretty slow for me.

A pile of CRAP. I will NEVER buy Western Digital again. I purchased this piece of crap during COVID and got stuck with it. SLOWED my computer tremendously!!!

Don't buy if you have to use it everyday. Mine has started to randomly eject. I haven't even had it for two years

will not mount on mac… won’t be able to access your data, some say data is corrupted… but only solution is to erase the drive… wd needs to fix that, have had many external drives, none like this

Have had the hard drive for 2 months and it continuously makes a loud thumping sound every couple of minutes. Pretty sure it's defective and will eventually die.

When I got the hard drive, there is already sound when I plug in to my computer. After 1 month (plug in for about 10 times), my computer can't mount the hard drive. Please don't buy this from BestBuy.

Hopefully, I got a lemon and this isn't indicative of WD products from Best Buy. This is getting returned immediately.

it is NOT always recognized at boot and requires a reboot to be seen. I couldn't get the device to work unless I logged in and gave WD information on my use !!!

Cannot leave this drive plugged into any USB port in your computer. Your computer will stall when trying to boot until this drive must be unplugged to get your computer up again. It can be plugged in and used once the computer is up only.

My Credit card was spoofed again they purchased this same hard drive 3-4 time. Card cancelled then reissued spoofed on same day. Might be tile to say goodby to BB. Elite member

is ok but is not wireless i was lookingfor like cloud server or memory saver and wifi at home is better

Perhaps the device was defective. I have used My Book before and been satisfied, but I could not get this one to work properly. I finally returned it.

Service and customer support is not available at this time. Software is hard to setup no support. Time machine on Mac has yet to make first backup.

During the install the disc scan utility detected an error and the install would not complete. Best Buy gladly let me return it.

Seems to work well, but we need a set of directions or instructions. We did not get any instructions in the box. So it's a mystery.

Had to return it, was a dud, these things are temperamental from what I understand, handle with care as they are pricey.
