Some loser in a trailer park (literally) stoke my card. I wish him nothing but misfortune and a piece of garbage purchase !

This hard drive is slow and very unreliable. Do not waste your time or money. I bought a G-Drive external drive and never looked back.

This product is NOT good. It worked for a moment, now it won't mount on any of my computers!

The device stopped working after 2 weeks of use. It would not eject from the computer then all files disappeared from the device.

I Purchased 3 to replace 5TB ones that are 3 years old and I couldn't be happier. This is just like having an internal HDD sitting outside of your computer. If you are using USB 3.0 it is ridiculously FAST! =) If you are moving large amount of data over to it use software or an imaging program that will verify the data was copied over successfully. Also, keep in mind they do tend to get very warm with heavy usage but that is true of all HDD's. This is NOT a backup system... don't treat it as such. Keep a copy of important things somewhere else. ALL HDD (INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL) CAN SUDDENLY STOP FUNCTIONING, THEY ARE ALL MECHANICAL DEVICES THAT CAN EVENTUALLY FAIL. I keep a copy of things at a different location just to be safe. It is cheaper and faster then paying for Data Recovery. -Richard

Just plugged into my laptop and started using it Easy!

The drive is fine. It looks nice. It is quiet. It installed easily on my Windows 10 desktop. The included USB cable is a little short but was long enough for my purposes. The included software was very, very slow and had very few options. I didn't even finish a first backup because it was soooo slow. I downloaded Aomei Backupper Standard and used that instead. It is free and highly recommended. I chose to do an image backup of the volumes. The backup ran pretty quickly. After the backup completed I was able to mount the volumes so they would appear in file explorer as lettered volumes. It was super easy to copy a file from the backup and paste it anywhere on the computers internal drive. Amazingly great. The next question is whether I would recommend this product to a friend. I would say no unless they feel comfortable using other software.

Personally I find WD drives a little more reliable with respect to Seagate. I may be wrong though. That's my personal impression. It is also a little cheaper than Seagate... I definitely recommend it.

Nice design, ample space. Worth the money, would buy another.
