Great storage device. Easy to use and set up. I was able to combine my data from two smaller and older devices easily. I am confident my data is securely stored and readily available.

I like the ease of use of this drive and the 8 GB makes it easy to put larger files on. The only complaint I have is the charger (plug in wall portion) is separating somewhat. It has not been dropped or anything else so I don't know why this is happening.

While this drive has the capacity I was looking for, it is the loudest hard drive I have owned since the 1990's. I am using this on a MAC and with Carbon Cloner backup software. Although CC says there are read errors, MAC First Aid says the drive is fine. Time will tell. One of the reasons I bought this drive over the Seagate is I had two 4TB Seagates and one of the went bad right after the warranty was up and the other, while I have had issues on the MAC with it, is still working. Hope I made the right choice.

Needed additional storage space for my business. I had another of these and it has performed flawlessly. Had no problem purchasing another unit.

8TB for the price, Western Digital is a great MFG with great warranty.

Excellent drive for backup. The price was right! Speed and size makes it great for backups. As always, Western Digital drives deliver on the promise of Quality and Performance.

I have bought a couple of these to back up my files. They are easy to use and convenient for when you need the files that will no longer fit on your computer. I will continue to buy them when I need them.

So far so good. Got many more spaces to save important things. Only one annoying problem is clicking sound of the drive in a quiet room. The internal drive in my laptop sometimes has that sound sometimes doesn’t but this hard drive... never stops

Lots of space, although I've already filled it with backups. The interface is quite reasonably fast and wouldn't have been possible with USB 2. So far this is simply an excellent product.

Great hard drive. Purchased for my son for his PS4. Should last for a long time with the ability to store many games. Easy to use and easy to install, plus it was a great price.

Using as extra storage for Xbox One X. It can be pretty noisy sometimes but otherwise have no real complaints! Seems on pair in terms of speed to my Seagate 4TB gaming USB HDD that it replaced.

Reliable some slow startups from 5700 rpm but overall pretty decent for storage

This is the size I needed. All works well with a fast USB 3.0 throughput. My only complaint is I had to put a piece of sound-deadening foam under it because it would wobble when spinning and make noise.

I thought this would be the best for my huge amount of photos and it was indicated I could use it on more than one computer however I was not able to view the photos I had backed up on another computer. All in saying; read the info manual on-line. I then purchased a Passport and it was able to view the photos on any of my computers. This is a great product-same company but know what you intend it for. I will use this item as a backup for one computer.

This drive is a bit on the large bulky side, but, seems to be well constructed. The drive is ultra quiet super fast and extremely large for the price. If your looking to sotore movies for a home media server it is ideal. The device hibernates when not in use and appears to draw little to no power. Read and writes are extremely fast, had mine a month or so and its running like a chsmp. I store movies video games photographs and edit video. Quick access tons of room thats the long and short of it highly recommend.
