Easy to install hard drive with lots of storage. One note of caution: format it as NTFS before loading data if using with a Windows system. It came formatted as exFAT which stopped my system from booting while it was connected. You can not convert this drive to NTFS without destroying the data on it.

This 8tb hard drive is really great! Have not had any issues and works perfectly to transfer my large amount of files. These days it's very easy to need this much storage so I highly recommend this product.

Great for the cost, needed a backup drive, easy to use

So far so good. We purchased this to expand the memory of our PS4 Pro and it works perfectly. This listing used to state it were exfat and now I am not seeing that in the description. Either way it formatted in mere moments and worked great from then on. Our games save directly to the PS4 itself, while actual games and updates are on this external hard drive. No, you still need the discs to play, for anyone wondering, but our reason for purchase was to be able to fit the games we own and their updates. PS4 just does not have enough memory on it's own.

I bought this as gift for a cousin who's a photographer. He loves it. He can store large amounts of data in this external hard drive with ease and travel with it. Plus I got at really good price. Go me!!!!

Just what I needed to free up space on my computer!

Purchased this drive while on a weekly sale. Great drive for the price. I prefer WD drives over other brands. This WD drive was priced similarly to the Seagate Drive of the same size. Drive is easy to use, fast, and has plenty of available space. I do not like the USB 3.0 cable that is used for the connection to the back of the drive. I have an older WD 3.0 Drive that has a regular USB 3.0 cable connection. This one uses the smaller connection that doesn't like to stay in as well. The Drive is also quite a bit louder than some of my other WD drives. I think this might be attributed to the 8TB size. Overall, this is a good value for the money.

When I saw the sale price for this item when I bought it I was sure it was either a misprint or that I was buying something that would have a very short lifespan. I have had it since before I have had my XBOX one X and it works both on XBOX ONE and XBOX ONE X with no issues. I wish I would have bought two at the price they were but I haven't seen them for that cheap since.

An excellent external that has a ton of room with USB 3.0 for fast transfers. I always watch for these to be on sale and the price per terabyte goes down even more. Simple and effective.

Device has enough storage space to hold pictures and important documents. I like that I can transfer my files from my desktop computer to the hardsrove with ease and be able to retrieve them when necessary.

I had hoped for a backup device that was easy to use and safely keep my thousands of photos. The WD software that came with the device is easy to use and the drive is working better than expected.
