It is, so far, exactly what I expected, 8TB of storage with a moderate xfer rate. I purchased one drive roughly a month ago and another last week. I've had WD drives in the past and so far I have no reason to assume they won't provide years of reliability.

I have always loved the wd mybook harddrives. The 8tb is no exception. The capacity for the price is amazing. It is easy to install and use.

This external dive storage is huge, and works perfectly for onsite backups of all of my devices.

I got this on sale, but even at normal pricing this is a good value. Lots of storage, and so far I have had no issues with it. Transfer speeds are not bad either, usually averaging 130 MB/s with large files in Explorer, which I think is in line with USB HDD like this. I don't use any of the included software, but so far it has been great for backing up my files in Windows 11.

Lots and lots of space! We downloaded games on it to save computer space and there's still lots of room. Easy to install

This drive has the capacity and security I need. It is easy to use and provides the options I need. It was easy to set up and works well.

The drive was needed for an immediate need for work. It was convenient to order online and pay, but when sent someone else to go pick it up it took them a long time to find the order. (Not an issue with the USB drive of course.) We needed a drive with at least 8TB f storage and this one fit the bill. No issues what-so-ever in using the device. Once data was stored on the device it needed to be shipped to Chicago and arrived intact. We'll be using the same drive for the same need again.

I love the option of being able to put a password so that nobody is looking at my personal things

This is a very reliable and stable storage device with enough capacity to make it truly useful. Great for Dropbox use.

This drive was perfect as a spare back up drive for all of my photos and videos. It's big and faintly fast and very reasonably priced.

Removed one star because there is no power switch or light to control the UAB drive. It has a reasonable fast transfer speed. Runs quite and cool without fan. I bought this USB drive to store Acronis backups and other general files. I have it connected UAB 3.0 to a WD MYCLODEX2ULTRA network drive. It shows up as a Share and works fine. I'm old and wanted to have a lot of my file portable in case have to leave home with out WiFi. IT's big enough to hole what ever you need to move with you. And connected this way it is out of the way.

I bought this to keep at my office for photos and large files. Works great, very affordable for the size.

Well...it works! It can be a little loud at times but not too bad. Can't believe 8TB is so cheap today! It sits right on my desk and works like a charm.

Spins up fast, can be a little loud sometimes but overall a solid hard drive with tons of space.

I am a Photographer/Videographer and I love that I have so much space to upload into my archive and not leave on my computer. It literally has saved me on many occasions. I pull all of my footage from my SD cards from different events and it helps to be able to keep my cards clear. I have already been letting my friends know that this is the best purchase if you want to free up space. Great Product! Danielle
