This is a great product and I’m glad Best Buy had it in stock for me during self-isolation. I really needed to store a lot of data so that was awesome! Curbside was wonderful!

I bought this to use with my ps5 to store and play my ps4 games and it works really really well. Allows me to store lots of games and it works so im happy

I love WD external drives. This one allows for password protection so someone can't take your drive and plug it into their system without knowing your password. Easy to setup and use.

This Hard Drive was just what I was looking for. I did take me a little bit to get it formatted and the software installed on my computer. But it is just what I was looking for.

Thos was a great purchase the kids are able to save alot of data it we purchased one system with less space on it but then we decided to update to more space

Could not recommend this external hard drive to anyone more! I've used MyBooks for several years now, and I can always count on their reliability to store the information in a secure fashion.

I chose to remove the drive from the enclosure so that I could use it in my server. Please note that did does void the warranty of the enclosure but on WD's warranty checker site the drive comes up as having 3 yrs warranty by it's serial #. If you choose to remove the drive, you will either need to cut the Orange wire on the sata power cable (Be sure to insolate the wire ends so as not to short out) or use a molex to Sata adapter (Recommended). This drive conforms to the new Sata standard which replaces the 3.3v line with a Reset. If you use the normal sata power connector then the drive goes into a constant state of Reset and will not work. I've had this for about a month now.

Bought this to add storage to my Synology NAS. It works very well!

Needed more space and i chooses this drive over Seagates. I have better luck with Hitachi and WD drives. I believe the drive in this case is an Hitachi. I am going to buy more of these when the price goes down.

I have several of these units and rotate them for backups on our virtual data center. This is not the primary backup but it is nice to have secondary off-line backups in the event of a malware attack.

Little noisy but it serves its purpose. First one was defective so sent it back and purchased again with insurance just in case. So far it’s worked well.

Worked great out the box. Performed a format, and then this drive became a backup for my data. There is nothing like having a backup when you need it.

In this day and age of media and digital content, it’s important to back up your files. Never lose your photos and videos with this device. Definitely a good purchase.

I have not been disappointed with WD external hard drives and the newest 8 tb hard drive is no exception. It is easy to set up- plug in and use. Its form is sleek and I have pleased both with usage and looks.

It's 8TB, and it works, no problems. I didn't bother with the software, as my experience with WD backup software is that it's at best unreliable. Windows 10's File History is much better.

Wd is the only one I trust for hard drives, they just work and are reliable. I have tried other brands which worked just the same but definitely don’t last as long

Nice size for organizing all the photos and files we have!!! There is plenty of room left over for other documents. We wanted to have a backup just in case something happens and this drive fit the bill!

If you spent the last 20 years collecting your favorite music and would be heart broken if you lost your data then you need one of these. There is a reason these drives are rated so high.

Works good, fast enough for backup drive, good bang for buck.

I picked this unit up for $150, it typically will run you close to $300. Wd makes a 8, 10 and 13 tb model. I've been using western digital for over 10 years now and have not had 1 issue.
