This backup drive is very easy to set up and use. We have had no problems with it.

I was looking for a large/fast storage device. I was about to exceed 2.5 TB so needed LARGE. This was a great pick.

I don't usually have issues with WD external drives, but this one has been a little different. From time to time, I have incompatibility issues with Mac, like it won't even recognize that the drive is connected. For this reason, I don't find it to be the most reliable drive to edit off of. When it does connect, the connection is stable and fast enough for backing up files.

I don't know why the redesigned the case the new design is a scratch magnet. The drive itself is fast at transferring data over USB. If I had one complaint about the drive is the spin up for sleep and at times seem to be excessive taking about 10 seconds to be ready.

Easy install, no extra hassle or any software to install. Can be used as internal hard drive as well!

This was the best product I could've ever bought. By transferring all my files to this external hard drive my laptop runs so much better in addition I don't need to bring my laptop with me everywhere I just have to bring my portable drive and hook it up to whatever computer I'm using and it's instant access to all my audiobooks documents e-books and videos . Not to mention if I ever needed to get another laptop or computer in general I don't lose any of my files .
