Easy to set up. Worked as advertised right out of the box. Was a bit skeptical of the smartware software based on past reviews. After a month of use, it does the job.

This is a great solution for my photo storage needs. The automatic backup is great. I'm a wedding photographer, so I have tons of large files that NEED to be securely stored, and this does the trick!

I have/had several WD HDD and I've been very happy with them. If I have a problem WD is fast to replace.

Does what it says. As a soldier on a 9 month deployment it's perfect for easy access and back up reliability.

This is the best invention ever! It took me a while to set it up and get everything comnected to it, but now that it's all set up it works flawlessly, I don't know how I survived this many years without it, I have recommended this product to everyone.

Only thing is i cant save pictures from hard drive to my camera roll (iphone). But the rest are good.

I am replacing a 1TB Seagate GoFlex drive with this one. The response time is much better and the USB port on the rear of the device is USB 3.0 compliant. The web interface is much smoother and more reliable than that of the GoFlex as well. 5 stars!

If you are wanting an external hard drive cloud device then I would pick this up. I will say however, there are multiple cloud storage options such as dropbox, OneDrive, and the Mac version.....may not be worth the money if you don't want to back it up.

I'm giving this WD 3TB NAS Cloud Drive 5 stars because of its performance right now today. A few weeks ago after I bought it, I might have only given one star. The initial data transfer - from my pc to the NAS drive - took about 4 days. I do not have a gigabit router and my connection speed to transfer the data was limited. But I knew this before buying. I transferred about 500GB to the NAS drive. Then, after the transfer was complete - the drive was crawling and took forever to just view one photo or any other document. This is because the NAS drive scans all its data to categorize it (music, vids, photos, docs, etc.). That process took another day or so. But now, after the initial setup is all done, this drive is blazing fast. I can view it not only on my PC, but my Mac Book and my iphone/ipads from anywhere in the world. I love it.

You get what it claims have had no issues and would recommend to others looking for a decent external.

I was looking for a product to backup my pc pictures, found this one and I believe its the best backup system. I can upload while Im on a trip and watch the pictures from my laptop and phone!

I got this connected to my network and setup on my primary computer quickly and easily. Not quite as clean on a second computer/ account, but that might have been my fault. I have not had a chance to problem solve. Hopefully Western Digital will be willing to help when needed.

Replacing my 5 year+ old NAS with this. So far, looks good. Will be great to have my own "cloud ".

While quick and easy to install, WD My750 router, there was no instructions included with this product and the online tutorial is very simplistic. The actual instruction can be downloaded from WD's site. I am also a bit disappointed that Word, Excel and similar files can not simply be open via remote access over the internet; instead they must be downloaded first. Although I have used my drive very little at this point I have had issues with it not communicating with the router and just today the drive appeared to overheat even though it was not being accessed and with a complete open shelf with no obstructions; I hope the drive lasts.

The WD my cloud is great, all the pictures i take with my phone are sent directly to my cloud. The only negative for me is im not able to delete one picture at a time from the cloud..

The software was good easy to use but had few problems with the Mac Brower but was fast drive

With the direct to Western Digital, It's pretty easy to set up, or you can have them do the complete installation while you watch. I was sold on this unit because of the ability to access it with either a PC, smart phone or Kindle. Oh, you can also use it for backing up your computer.

This drive met my expectations in storing files to access away from home which worked on my ipads 1 & 3, asus transformer prime tablet, samsung galaxy 2 7" tablet, samsung galaxy note 2 10.1" tablet, laptops and PC desktops. You need appropriate apps on your devices for the movies to play. Also played on the ps3, a bit buggy on some files and displays like 5+ names of the same movies. Have yet to try my MS Surface Tablet. Files stored were my mp3 collection, some of my dvd collection and a few fonts and documents. Movies were in mp4 and vob formats. The only problem I've had was when I wanted to recopy my vob files back to my desktop, in which it came from, I get an error that the file is too large. Other then that I get some lag times but don't know if it's the drive or my internet. Overall, very happy with this purchase infact I want to get the 4 TB version. If all goes well, my version is suppose to be able to hook up a usb hub and add on additional external drives.

Another great product from Western Digital. Got this at a great price at Best Buy.
