I think this is a super backup choice but the manual is not as through as it good be.

Works as advertised as a NAS. Haven't used the remote access from outside of the LAN, but throughput on the local net is much better than that MyBook that it replaced.

This product was delivered on time and very easy to set up. Great way to store old proposals and family pictures to use at a later date. My wife and I work from home and it was very easy to set up folders for us to share.

Easy to set-up, just need to get time to transfer all our phone and iPad pics over.

The convenience of a private cloud is the obvious attraction, but to make it sync with my computer, you need to buy WD Smartware Pro - which ran into numerous problems on my Windows 8 laptop. The support guys were very helpful to take care of them when I called

Easy to setup and use. I replaced an older WD Hard drive with this one. You just need to plug it into a power supply and connect directly to your router. There's an app that needs to be downloaded and then you can connect wirelessly to your HD. I love it

I prefer Norton or mcaffe over web root I am using the free trial for now

I'm using mine as a wireless backup (TimeKeeper) for my MacBook Pro. Took a long time to do the initial backup, but after that, everytime I turn my computer on, it's there for me performing backups, hourly.

WD my cloud is very easy to install and can be accessed from any device.

Took me a while to understand on how to use this product, transferring files, sometimes the files don't get transferred, some frustrations, when watching something, more or less, same as streaming movie from the internet, thought it would be a better product but was disappointed with the speed.

I am very happy with the speed of the hard. Great backup harddrive.

Works great with my music library from any location. Movies only work well on home network. A network password is requested when trying to access my folder so I don't use that folder anymore. Streams ok to my home network devices.

Good product. No issues so far. Better than the previous WD drive I had.

I have tried several different cloud NAS products. Although not perfect this NAS delivers where others have failed. Simple software and user interface will have you up and running in no time. Enjoy !

trusting how long it will work...as last external hard drive(Seagate) had problems in only slightly over two years ... can I revise this review if problems later... At this point seems to be working OK seems slightly faster than last ext. HD...

This thing is awesome! I use it to backup all of my pictures and time machine backups. I also plug in a regular external drive and it backs itself up every night. Great product highly recommended!

This is the best storage device that I have ever purchased. The device only has to be connected to wifi, not the device that is being backed up. And the best feature is that it backs up automatically.

I used to think I could handle technology, maybe it's beyond me now. I got the drive running but seem to have ongoing challenges. I accept it may be me, but I was hoping it was a little more dummy proof. I'm sure I'm not using it to the level I could, but don't have the time to become an expert.
