Works as described. It's great to be able to save a file from several desktops and laptops throughout the house to this Cloud.

As usual, I needed things computer related and relied once more on Best Buy for my needs. Everything in stock and good price.

Seems to work fine... The problem is the lack of instructions to get it set up in the beginning. You have to download software to your computer and devices and that's really not spelled out in the instructions. It also does not come with a cable to directly connected to your PC which is an added cost and again you need to download software to run the hard drive

My setup was fast and easy. Price was a bit on the high side but still worth it. Needs Facebook integration and a few other features. Looking to buy another.

WD support is doing a good job. The first unit would not work with just plugging it in. The first step was to plug it into the router rather than the switch, which is not in the instructions about which port to use. So after phone & online chat, they operate your OS remotely. They fixed some OS services that were shut down for some reason? All my network was working, so I had no reason to suspect that some of my OS services were disabled or scheduled not to start automatically. They, WD, enabled them & My Cloud started working. It worked for two weeks, then got dementia. The second unit was sent & came & I plugged it in. This went OK AFTER I uninstalled the WD software & installed it again. The address would not change to the new unit's address, which I could change with one of the 4 programs that you download from WD. I had to log into my router to look at the table to see the addresses of all 9 wired devices to get the address of the new WD My Cloud. Then I corrected the properties of the one program that allows that. The other software found it too after re-installing it. This took some time, but I did not call for help on the second unit. We had spent +hour on the first unit, so I learned a little. I have a WD Live TV Hub too, that is about 4 years old and works ok. Just slow to upload to. So, it seems this unit may not be just PnP.

This tower seems big in the picture but it is small and does not take much space. We have had no problems with it and love the amount of space available.

Love the way it connects to our Wifi to upload files and pictures. Great way to protect your data against loss.

Simple set-up. I'm only able to play certain video formats. It would be great if it plays all video formats.

This is my 8th purchase of a network (NAS) Western Digital backup drives. They all work great and this one is no different. It was weird that the cost was $12 more for the 3 gigabyte drive vs. the 2 gigabyte version, so it was obvious to get the 3 gigabyte version. Highly recommended!

Very easy to install. I love the app for my phone and IPad. I can easily stream my videos over wifi. Only fault I had with it was I use an Apple Airport express as my wifi router which only has a single Ethernet port that was already occupied so I needed to buy a switch since this device requires a wired connection.

The concept is great but takes awhile for setup. Still have not figured out how to get multiple items- phones and computer backed up and have accessibility to their material.

I experienced no installation problems and it appears to be doing exactly what I purchased it to accomplish.

Didn't have any trouble hooking Windows laptop up to wirelessly save and access data, but it showed that you could hook iPhones up to it too but I couldn't get that to work.

It's quite different from the regular drag and drop at 1st but everything thing's great after you've set up you're back up account. Then you can do that. You can pull up up all your storage from almost anywhere as long as the device itself is plugged in and with plenty of memory to store on. Great product

Easy to setup, easy to use. Easy to set users. Easy to access from anywhere, so far quick to load documents. Always been good from WD.

Slower than expected and not very intuitive. Online directions only make it harder to operate. The app or apps it downloads on your devices are also not very user friendly.

I was able to get this set up and running fast. I'm now backing up 2 MacBooks with the time machine feature. Set it and forget it.

Not hard to set up in the beginning, a little tricky to get all the peripherals connected but done.
