super easy to install and effortless walk through from software to setup and begin backing up your data, either by entirety or selected folders and files.

Everything with this product is great, except if it drops off your desk onto a wood floor, it will brake to the point of it being a useless paperweight.

I'm overall quite happy with the product. It works very well on my home wifi network but I have problems accessing it remotely through the internet.

I use this as the network harddrive in my home. It does everything I need it to do, and has a friendly, aesthetically-pleasing software interface.

Works great. I can access from all my network devices. I put my movies on it and now can watch anywhere.

It took a little while for me to set up using my MacBook and I had to ask customer service for help. But after that it has been working fine

Great product to automatically backup over the network without need of internet or sharing information over the internet. Great for Privacy.

I was looking for a NAS and actually wanted to get the Seagate one, but after reading the reviews and youtube videos, I opted for the WD NAS and it has been working flawlessly. The apps and the UI for the product is superb. Now if I can figure out how to play the contents of the NAS on my friend's TV. =)

I recently purchased the My Cloud 3TB Personal Cloud Storage External Hard Drive from Best Buy and it has really helped me clear up my computer hard drive. It works great on my MAC. I am not a fan of the WD software that comes with the drive for the cloud computing but I use it just directly off my desktop.

I LOVE this cloud storage unit. The transferring from my laptop hard drive to this hard drive is slower than I like. My only negative about this personal cloud is that I wished that it had the option to transfer via USB instead of just over the WiFi. Set-up and accessibility from "the road" is great and easy!

Nice basic NAS drive. we are using this for staging files before going to the cloud for online backup. nice speed and input.

Just wished I could've got it for a little less. thought 179.99 was a little pricey for the capacity. also wished they had it in black.

Works good, except its hard to set up, very hard to create private folders on it, and even harder to retrieve your files off of it

If u where like me, hooking the hard drive to different tvs depending where ur at n the house, this drive is for u. Highly recommended.

This WiFi capable external drive was easy to set up and has performed continuously without problem since initial setup. I did call their tech support during initial setup, and they were responsive and helped me understand the issue created by my modem

I wish I could connect it directly. If there is a way I have to figured it out yet

Took long time to download all photos about 3000 photos took 36 hours. Not sure if it was the device or our internet

Good price for storage size. Can be accessed via phone app Pc within the network. Online through internet.

Ended up selling it on ebay, was totally not worth the money and not backing up automatically on regular basis as indicated

I bought this because I was tired of maintaining multiple USB drives with all of my stuff. Sometimes I needed my stuff at home and other times I needed to access stuff while I was at the office. This seemed to be the perfect solution. Setup was pretty straight forward. It took several hours to get the port forwarding setup but this was more of a router issue and not a MyCloud problem. Then I started copying my 724GB worth of data over to it. This took 6 days!!!! WD states that this should be connected to a Gigabit switch. My router is a 10/100. But seeing transfer speeds of less than 1 MB/S is not even close to what it should be. This device didn't suit my needs since I really didn't need the whole media server type of device. I just wanted a place to store files and be able to access them from anywhere. I didn't really care that it indexed EVERY SINGLE IMAGE whether it was a BMP file or .JPG file that it found in any folder I uploaded. It was kind of funny to see thumbnail images of all of the .BMP files from program installers. Well I eventually deleted everything on it and will build a custom mini-pc with some other solution to provide only the features I need.
