I would have like more information in the box on setup

Good to have your data always safe and accessible.

personally, I would recommend upgrading your computer's ethernet card to a gigabit network adapter to make sure you don't end up waiting forever on transfers.

Its a good upgrade if you come from a My Book Live.

This is a great network drive was I got the latest version of firmware for it. It's been working for the last 2.5 years. Just keep the firmware current.

It may be user error, but when I first hooked it up, it worked fine. I bought it primarily for my daily back up which happens automatically. However, it is not backing up and not being recognized by computer. I'm a bit frustrated with it.

Connected to our network with ease and all 4 PC's were able to connect to the device with no issues. Great to use not only for backups but network storage.

This works so easy. Now I know all my photos are safe and under my control. Recommend this to all. This will save me money and give me peace of mind.

Hooked right up to all my products PC and Mac, had no problems, very fast.

Been using it for more than 2 years without an issue. Does what it is supposed to do. If you have lots of files on the drive, it may take very long time to scan. Be patient and let it completes the process.

I have a WD my book live (older version) and it has been working well. I thought I'll give the new My cloud (newer NAS from WD) since it has a faster processor and reliable WD hard drive for NAS boxes. After multiple attempts at trying to get it connected to my network and spending hours with the CSR I gave up and had to return it. Hope WD works out the chinks since it seems like a promising product. On a side note, if anyone buys it and gets it to work please be sure to back up the data on the My cloud since the forums are filled with people who lost everything ones the firmware was updated. Also be sure to disable auto updates on the My cloud for the same reason.

I love this and everybody in he family can access files and also capable of streaming media to ur TV... I'd buy this than the Seagate...

I expected this to be easy to use per the information I had researched. Unfortunately it would not stay connected to my computers. Their tech help did not offer me much assist except go tell me to call my router co and get their help. Well they wanted 125.00 to help me with my connection issue to the device. My computers stay connected to my internet so I'm not sure what the problems were with this. Needless to say I returned this device. Got a passport and am perfectly happy.

So far so good with the NAS drive. Seems to be responsive and has the features I needed. Hope to get many years out of it.

I didn't know what I was getting at first. I have set our company up on the cloud sometime ago. This is a perfect compliment to it.

I like it very much, ease to use, fast, and I can have all photos, videos, documents in one place and it can be access anywhere.

This is a great first time cloud. It's very simple to setup and really simple to use.

Have not had time to install it. Hopefully over Christmas I will get a chance. Purchased because of a good price.
