For some reason I have trouble accessing my data from any other device.

I like the concept but does not do everything I thought it would.

there are no settings for syncing the Hard drive to the back up,

I wanted to love this server. I tried for a few days optimizing my ethernet network to make the MyCloud the center of my storage needs but it never got fast enough nor stable enough in OS-X Mavericks to be useful. I switched to the leading competitor's home server instead.

Have problems getting on drive outside of home network

It's over a week since I keep trying to install my new WD MyCloud HD and still can't although I sent several messages to WD support. It's not a straight forward installation (supposed to be friendly), I followed exactly the instructions (including instructions for troubleshooting) from the manual and wasn't able to solve it. The worst part is the WD support doesn't respond my enquiries!

When I bought the 3tb external hard drive I failed to attach to my computer soon after buying it and then i had 3 back surgeries and after my recovery was coming along ( almost a year later) I tried hooking in up and had a RED light on it !! I have tried to see if I could still get it to work but to no avail. I am a retired guy (now 75) and can't afford another one yet. So I have it but can just look at it!!! I paid a lot of money and got nothing out of it!! SAD! From what I understand if you have a red light the unit is DONE!

The idea is very good as all the clouds but...this is my cloud and I'm the only responsable for the data. Unfortunately very complicate to use for the limited and not friendly instructions supplied.

Poor instructions & it does not perform as described. Was not allowed to return for refund.

Bought it to use with time capsule on my Mac. My Backup is just under 1 TB. It takes over 5 days uninterrupted to back this up. Kinda worthless for what I bought it for.

I don't like how it stores files. Doesn't read like a normal drive on the pc. Can only delete one file at a time.have a Seagate network drive works better

Upgraded to a newer WD NAS and had issues with connecting to my Mac Timemachine. Other features work great.

I purchased this product hoping to move my iPhoto library to My cloud so I could free up some storage space. No way, I called tech support 4 times and they finally told me it was an apple problem not their problem. I knew this was bs but I did call tech support for apple computers and the rep told me after about 5 minutes that this product was not supported for apple products.

works fine if there is only 1 user. as soon as u add another user and its content, fun begins!!. too much setting to have it connected to the internet. too much trouble for me so i returned it and got seagate. more capacity and way easy to set it up.

I am having difficulty in getting the device to back up properly. Tech support is difficult to understand and they are having difficulty understanding my problem.

brother recommended me to buy one. told me it was very simple and easy to use. took his word for it and bought it. i use mac, but it crashed my computer twice!!! worst product at least for me...

It installed initially but never worked right. Ended up crashing computer and required uninstall. Haven't tried again yet. Certainly not easy to install so it works properly.

I'm returning my, don't waste your money on this !!! Doesn't work at all! "I'm a network engineer" just for let people know I'm not talking bs from this device!

Extremely difficult to log on to and use as an external drive. useless.

This is hard to understand. Not sure what's backed up or when. Taking it back.
