The WD My Cloud support both traditional NAS features via a browser based dashboard and DLNA support, while apps let you access your drive remotely via PC, smartphone and tablets like other popular cloud services. The benefit of this, is that you will have much more storage compared to other Cloud services, your data isn't shared with another company and you only have to upload what you need with no monthly subscription. Mobile apps to bring support for Google Drive, Dropbox and SkyDrive letting users transfer and sync content between your data on the WD My Cloud and any existing Cloud storage service you already use. Set up is simple, connect the drive to your router, switch it on and visit wdmycloud.com or download the software from WD website. The browser user interface is easy to use with lots of at glance information on available capacity, drive health, firmware, Cloud devices, users, shared folders and media content. This is a great device is you are looking for a cloud solution that is corporate free.
