This was purchased as added memory for an XBox One. It's easily installed and formatted through the XBox while adding much needed storage for more games.

I purchased 2 portable hard drives to be used to backup 2 computers. They were easy to set up and backed up the computers quickly and efficiently, without further input.

Hi bought this because my hard drive died once and I needed something to use as a backup. Knock on wood it doesn't happen again but it is serving its purpose.

I won't ever loose my files again; no precious pictures lost. This hard drive makes back up so easy that I can do it often and without a lot of effort or time on my part.

Filled it up as my laptop was almost near failure. Easy to use, secure with password and easy to carry as well.

I purchased this to be a backup drive for a PC laptop. I have purchased many WD drives in the past, and appreciated the USB 3.0 speed. The nice color was a bonus. Easy setup.

Easy to install and easy to use. Got disconnected for a month or so but great service from the supplier got be back on track in a hurry.

Geek squad set up my backup drive that all I have to do is plug it in to a USB port and the rest is auto. No excuses fot not backing up. Just can't get any easier.

This is a great drive. I can carry all of my information anywhere. I have a back up to my back up. Password protected. It is awesome.

I have files I want to backup and store offline (off the cloud). This simple hard drive fills the bill with software for scheduling automatic backups. So far, works well.

Bought two of these for backup. Transfers are fast and the drive itself seems durable but the micro-USB end of the cable seems like it should be treated gingerly.

if you can't put your data on a flash drive to work from, then this drive is a good value. its spin speed at 7200 makes it adequate for video editing. that's what i'm using it for via Premier Pro CC. and i've yet to have a WD drive fail; I've lost some LaCie drives otoh.

I was able to store all my Documents , pics and files in one place and I still have a lot of space left

Needed an external drive to split work and personal and be able to work from home. Perfect for what I needed and plenty of space to hold files and images.

Peaay to use and install.downloading the app that goes with it was simple.usimg the backup service is simple also.

I was looking for a new external hard drive to replace my old, much larger one. This one is perfect! The size is nice and easy to transport. I like the color too!

The ole slip & slide technique of layering on one more protection for data recovery is meanigful. It's economial, reliable and even an ole lawyer can figger it out

It's a USB device, it just sort of works so there's not much to say. The backup software from Western Digital is nice to back your entire PC or pick-n-choose your folders.

didn't know it worked with phones. i am glad, the geek squad. was there to help me find this product and show me how to use it. saved a lot of memories!
