I purchased this drive because I wanted an inexpensive reliable USB 3.0 hard drive for data backups. The drive has worked great for this purpose so far.

As the title says, I purchased this to use as extended storage for my PS4 right after the 4.50 update made that possible. I read reviews on this drive including reviews where others said they were using it with the PS4 before I purchased it. I also checked other external USB 3.0 drives. The reviews were all good for this drive and I have been using it as extended storage with the PS4 for about a month now without any issues. Speed and reliability is very good. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a fast, reliable external hard drive or to someone looking to extend their PS4 storage capacity.

I won't mess with other brands other than Western Digital. Been buying external hard drives for many years now and you just can't beat their dependability. They cost a little more but are totally worth it. These portable drives are perfect for Mac/PC backups.

This thing works as expected -- large capacity, and requires no external power source beyond what it gets from the USB port it's connected to, which is great.

Worked perfectly I bought it to extend the storage on my Xbox one s extended the storage enough to download a lot more games and played them with no problems .

The passport is great for saving all my files to and taking with me In case of emergencies. Hurricanes etc. So I have all my important files with me.

They used this to back up everything before fixing my computer. That way everything was saved before they had to go back to the factory preset

I bought this to use as external storage for a PS4. Works great. Be advised, it must be plugged directly into the PS4 to function. It cannot be used through a USB hub.
