I can't get the WD portable hard drive to import movies or music..it was a waste of money buying and wish i hadn't. I have another different external hard drive and have no problem with that one.

Not user friendly at all. Difficult to find your files after you’ve figured out lie to transfer them onto the device. It requires downloading of multiple programs. Don’t buy this!

Not a good external hard drive for computer friendly person, learning to back up. Western Digital support not good at solving problem. Wish I could return item, but 15 days went by before using product.

In order to have my Mac checked for vires's I was forced to purchase this product which was supposed to back up my data. I lost all of my contacts and bookmarks, All it did was copy the desktop, which I already had,

The Geek Squad set this up on my computer, and scheduled automatic backups. So far, it shows more missed backups than anything. The whole point was to have my computer backed up regularly in case of "crashes", but very undependable!

Was explained as easy to use for the Mac. You need to be a programmer to install for the Mac. Buy the Mac version and do not waster your time and be sold by sales people as "easy to reformat from windows to Mac"

This drive had a catastrophic error within two months of buying it and suffered from stiction and I don't know if I'm going to lose all the data on what was supposed to be a backup drive! Worst purchase ever.

I have the pro with 1 TB already....All used up so had to get this one...Easy to set up...You have to format in settings menu first but after that it's done...I should of got a 2 TB but this will do for now...So many updates eats these things up fast...

This product seemed it was a good buy, but after a month the port broke or was loose for some reason, just threw it away !!! Didn’t bother to replace or get money back !

This drive was sold to me specifically for my MacBook Pro. My MacBook doesn't even see it. Documentation on the WD website says to reformat for Mac. I can't reformat because it doesn't even see it.

Had to return product as it promised a Quick Install/Set-Up Guide on the package and there wasn't one! So, sorry; if you're more talented, y ou might not need that help and you'll do better.

If you are looking for an easy plug and use external storage device do not buy this product since it requires downloading of additional software to work.

i was very upset with this external drive. I needed an external drive that could hold my files from my windows laptop to my chrome laptop. apparently NOT compatible AT ALL.

This backup was not half as good as when there is an icon on the computer. it did NOT back up all the files. I do not like it at all.

The external hard drive would not install on my computer. Had to call for support. The support is off shore in Asia. Hard to understand them.

To date, I have been unable to use this device to do a backup. I have followed all directions multiple times with no luck. Just haven't gotten the chance to return it yet.

Bought the drive, after using it for music transfer purposes, through drive crashed on me during a music gig and had to format and use a spare drive I had laying around.

Didn't work taking it out the box. Couldn't get it to download my files and when I did couldn't get it to load on new system. Took it back and bought another brand.

The Best Buy associate said that this could be used with Mac, but after multiple attempts to reset it for a Mac, we were still unsuccessful. Would not recommend for Mac.
