Worked flawlessly for backing up Dish Hopper Shows
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We purchased 2 of these external drives in preparation for backing up all recordings from 2 Dish Hoppers due to an equipment upgrade. There was plenty of storage to hold the amount of recordings from each Hopper. When the new equipment arrived the drives seamlessly integrated with the new Hopper and the recordings did not have to be transferred back to the Hopper to watch. One note is that the speed of these drives is not as I would have expected. Transferring data to the drive took a considerable amount of time and the drive became hot to the touch several times. Admittedly, there was a lot of data being transferred at one time but I would have expected these drives to keep up with the transfer and not get bogged down.
