Very good device

It functions like other devices but would be careful plugging the device to a computer that operates a Windows platform earlier than Windows 7. I do want to stress that I have only been putting files and pictures on the device, I haven't tried to put a library of programs on the device.

A Must for Mac Owners

Office products also worked after the move, and this was a concern. Just have to set up a reminder or habitual system of backing up.

Does what it's supposed to for a reasonable price

After comparing what was on the shelf at the local Best Buy I choose this one. The laptop I used this drive with did not have a USB 3.0 port so I can't speak to the maximum transfer speeds, but it certainly wasn't any slower than my old drive. As for use goes, it's mostly plug and play. I did not like having to install an additional app on my laptop to enable password protection on the drive which is why I'm only giving it 4 stars. Despite that, I think it's still a good buy for the price and pretty easy to use.
