I had some trouble at first because there are no real directions. But once I figured out the APPS tab at the top of the screen, I was all set. Used it to backup my laptop.

It's pretty simple. You plug the USB from the hard drive to the computer, the computer immediately recognizes the hard drive and you can start transferring data.

I had to clean up my laptop so I needed something to get my photos off it. The passport was just the thing I needed. It is so simple! Just plug in and import your pictures.. that's it.

Works as advertised. Small and easily portable. USB 3.0 connection for faster data transfer. It's nice that it doesn't need a separate power source like some backup drives.

This external was purchased for use in a media build to handle any number of video files. To date it has done everything I have asked of it. I will be, no doubt, picking up at least 2 more

We regularly backup our PC's using this unit. It's great to know that we can reload all our files and music w]easily if we lose one of our PC'c or lose the content.

I've always had success with Western Digital products, and this drive is no exception. It works well, looks good, and was reasonably priced for the amount of storage it offers.

Have one and love it....this ones for my brother. He's out of room for storage on his phone and the passport is just the thing to which he can save all his pictures on!

I have so much music but my computer does not have enough space. I have enough space now with this hard drive and I have used a small fraction of it

I've had 3 others of these and have never had any issues. I back up my computer, video & music files as well as use it all the time for downloaded movies, esp when we travel.

Product is light and portable. It's powered by the USB port unlike my previous external hard drive, and software makes it easy to set up back up schedules or to do so manually.

This was a great buy for the price. Very easy to set up even though I had never done this before. Never used backup before. The amount of space on this drive will last me a lifetime.

I really didn't use it myself, thankfully the geek squad exists! They knew what they were doing and used this product to back up my computer before they worked on it.

The WD - My Passport 1TB External works perfectly. It is simple to install and has a ton of space to save to. if you have old pictures and videos to save, this is the ticket.

WD is always my choice when buying a portable hard drive. I have had a good history with them, and this one is no exception. I would recommend this drive to anyone.

I absolutely love my passport! After using a desktop external hard drive for many years, the passport is so much more convenient and compact. It's lightweight and easily transportable.
