I love this item but I was mi-informed by someone at the Best Buy Geek Squad about how easy it wa to use this model with my Mac desktop. He told methat it would automatically recognize that the external hard drive was being used on a MAC system and then just ask if i wanted to do automatic backups. It was not that easy and I had to phone in and get step by step instructions on how t install id to work with my MAC.

Great product for the space that I required. It was used to store my laptop data after a lot of computer water damage.
