So many people don't back up at all. I back up to several external hard drives. Cloud backup is fine, but I don't want to trust it as my only backup. All of the major brand that i have used have been fine--I suggest getting the least expensive of the major brands--WD, Seagate, Toshiba, Sony, etc. However, I don't recommend using the vendors backup software, since it locks you to that brand. Lots of free backup solutions.

With my Best Buy rewards certificate this was a no brainer and a great buy. Speed is fast, easy install plug and play!

Once you get past the cumbersome install, the Back up works slick and only backs up what's changed. There was no Quick Install Guide included as advertised (unless it was one line in the Readme file on the disk). The WD Discovery.exe installed apps and utilities, but not the Back Up function, which is the main ingredient. Found a button on the Apps tab to download this function as a separate step. It didn't install the Security function either, but I skipped that feature. Info about basic functions were buried and scattered throughout the online FAQ's. All this was time consuming.

Bought this for extra storage on the PS4, works great. Synced right up and now I have more storage

This portable hard drive is so compact and easy to store on book shelf keeping all backup. Worth it for sure.

Great Backup Drive I purchased this 1TB External USB Portable Hard Drive on 07/02/2017 and I am still using it to this day. This has been a great backup unit for multiple computers and the high capacity memory works well for storing a lot of files. It's "plug-and-play", and a great way to keep all of your data backed up in case of a hard drive crash. Highly recommended.

Does exactly what its supposed to do. Highly recommend this product for anyone looking for one.

It's great as an external backup or as a general use drive. Not flash-based, but it's cheap and deep.

There are many Portable Hard Drives out there but this one has the best price tag. Works for both MAC and WINDOWS.

Can get enough of these guys. Take so many pics and vids, this saves so much space and memory on CPU and phones...

Needed a new external hard drive to back up my files. I'm glad I made the choice to upgrade to 1TB.
