I’ve had a few scares with it, and over time, it hasn't been as responsive as when I first started using it. I'd say it's better for smaller projects like photo editing and design work, but not ideal for video editing or animation.

I have a pair and they work well as a Mac TimeMachine backup target that I alternate. I also have a second pair that I use as my photo library primary and duplicate backup. Over the years I have been very satisfied with Western Digital products.
