Started digitizing old photos and needed a safe place to store them. The WD - My Passport 2TB External USB 3.0 did the job. Installation was quick and easy and I was able to backup the computer. Very happy with it!

For value it's good, offers a good amounts of storage but downside it's very weak. Took only a few VERY small falls/hits and it doesnt work anymore. If your buying this, make sure to keep to keep it steady/accidently hit it.

I love this sim Hard Drive option to carry with me anywhere. Easy storage and carrying option. It works well for what I use it, which is backing pictures and videos.

The users are developmentally disabled adults who don't know their own strength and have the demeaned of a bull in a China closet and they haven't damaged them at all with the protector. Unbelievable.

This portable hard drive was bought to clone my original hard drive in order to upgrade to windows 10. Cloned without any problem and now this drive is stored as a permanent back up until I am sure there is no problems with 10, then will clone 10 and save as a backup. Quick drive, easy to plug and play.

This is a very good drive. It has nicely fast read/write. It's lightweight, very portable and is simple to use. So far, it has had no glitches. This is my go-to drive for backing updata.

I have been wanting to get an external hard drive for all my pictures and videos. It was perfect for me to keep space open on my laptop and phone. It is convenient for me to keep everything organized.

Technically the drive works; I was able to copy almost 1/2 tb of photos to it. However, the backup software “provided” with the unit was NOT WD Backup as I expected; apparently WD Backup is no longer supported. WD outsourced the backup software to Acronis True Image who requires you to register for a free 4 yr license. After 4 years? Would I be able to recover it if I didn’t have Acronis‘s software? WD didn’t know about that. So, for now, it’s an inert storage device which is its intended use until I identify a backup software that simple enough for my needs. *Footnote to”would I recommend this”: If you know Acronis or don’t mind, it’s probably a great drive.

Great product! A lot smaller then the original and usb-c ! I transferred 1 TB in about 20 minutes

We have several of these from a few years ago and could not believe how much smaller they have become. Can't wait to replace all our big, clunky external drives with these sleek new ones.

External hard drive appears to be working. No problems so far. Purchased as part of Geek Squad factory reset of my computer. No issues so far.

I am using the TB passport HDD as a storage drive for Tablo on air TV. It is working as expected. We enjoy the recorded shows without the cable bill.

This small, very portable hard-drive does not disappoint. It's quiet, cool to the touch, and moves data like a dream... This is a good back up drive to have in your pocket, front pocket, I might add.

You can not go wrong with these WD external drives. Convenient and portable. Quick drives. The encryption is great.

I like being able to back up all my files and pictures to this external hard drive. This is my 6th one I’ve purchased. I usually fill one up every year.

Allot smaller then I thought it would be. Which makes it even easier for travel. I do recommend a carrying case when you get it as it’s so small and we all know people who drop cell phones. Good deal.
