Works with Windows and Linux (Manjaro, Fedora, Zorin, ext). Awesome back up. Makes a little whirring sound when plugged in.

The first one was outstanding, it did its job for 25 years. I purchased a second in 2010 to go with a laptop. It failed to function after 3 months and was returned for a full refund. This third one was to replace the 25 year old that finally died. It never function properly and now has been returned after 1 month.

The WD - My Passport 2TB External USB 3.0 did the job. Installation was quick and easy and I was able to backup the computer. Very happy with it!

Cloned without any problem and now this drive is stored as a permanent back up until I am sure there is no problems with 10, then will clone 10 and save as a backup. Quick drive, easy to plug and play.

Unbelievable.

It's lightweight, very portable and is simple to use. So far, it has had no glitches. This is my go-to drive for backing updata.
