I needed to transfer a lot of saved movies from my Dish Satellite receiver, because it had some problems and they were sending me a new one. Transferred about 1.5 GB to this hard drive from my old Dish DVR and moved these files to the new one, no problem. Hooking it up to the Dish receiver took about a minute. Now that everything is moved over, I will be using this for extra storage on my Xbox One.

Best purchase I made all quarantine

Life saver

Although I don't have a need a portable drive, I use it for imaging my laptop hard drive and my wife's. Saved and restored my digital life twice. Also with native encryption in 1 gig segments, so you can't identify individual files in the image, but it restored two user accounts and related files with mlnimal rebuilding of personalization features.
