The drive is good, but the software isn't.

However, the automated backup software isn't that great. I constantly get errors while it's attempting to back up that the drive is locked. There is a sleep option on the drive that I enabled and you would think that the software could "wake it up" to start the backup. But apparently not.

Reliable storage for a good price.

It works very well, and is able to read/write from a couple different computers without much hiccups. Was able to stream a movie from it while my wife transferred files to it.

WD Passport hard drives continues to be one of the best for speed transfers to other electronics sources. Plus, it an easy recognizable aqua blue color that help not to confuse with other blue color hard drives.

Hardware good, software abysmal for Win10

For Win10 Company software is a featureless, non working, hours wasted piece of 21st century garbage. Stay away or find other backup software to use. Currently backing up C: via drag and drop since their backup software seems stuck.

Buyer beware ahead of time if you care.
