    I bought my old external hard drive 5 years ago. I am disappointed that it did not last as long as I hope. The wire got looser over time. It is the same brand as this one. I hope this new one will last longer. With the five years I used the 5-terabyte memory, I used about 600 GB. Did not have a lot of games and just backed up my data for schoolwork and I had memory for plenty of movies. So 2-terrabyte is probably all that I would need.

    Purchased prior to upgrade to Windows 10. Geek Squad used backup and then reinstalled on Windows 10. Excellent external backup!

    Burning two hundred plus CD's onto this hard drive was made easy and took less than three hours with this hard drive, worth it.
