I am currently getting an "acccess denied" error with no access to data. The whole point of an external drive is data security and access. I will never purchase another external drive from Western Digital. I had similar experiences with another WD external drive.

This one abounds with error messages for which I have no idea how to fix it. One only finds out if it works when you have to restore the data. But it seems to be plugging away.
