One of the highest rated external drives at a great price. Purchased for my 16yr old to free up space on his laptop. Plug & play makes it easy to use. Smaller than a cellphone for easy portability.

Excellent external hard drive. WD builds quality products, just be aware they can fail (had an earlier one fail). I'd suggest purchasing two and mirroring them (they're cheap). Overall I'm quite happy.

It worked for what I needed it for, transferring photos and documents from one laptop to another.

I purchased this external drive to expand the storage on my Xbox One X. I have had no issues with the performance so far. Load times are comparable to the internal drive and the drive is quiet.

This is a great alternative to buying the Xbox branded hard drive and works just as well. I have purchased 3 of these over the last year for my Xbox system’s.

Didn't have any problems setting it up. Go to the WD website if you need their programs. I'm using it now for my ps4 it just needed to be formatted. Cannot be partitioned for use on ps4 at same time as PC.

Our old computer was slowly dying and my wife was concerned about all her pictures. She needed something easy and quick to save them and this worked fabulously for her.

This External Hard drive has surpassed what I thought it could do. Also wasn’t exactly sure what I needed. Was upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and didn’t want to lose programs, pictures etc off of my computer while doing the upgrade. There was a Geek Squad team member out on the floor helping people. She was very nice and knowledgeable. Helped me immensely. I am not a spring chicken anymore and a lot of things to do with computers and smart phones I am Clueless. Thank You. Britt

Excellent Drive. I find WD drives work better than Seagate drives. I have numerous WD drives and NONE have failed. I also like the red color to aid used for graphic backup.

Technically the drive works; I was able to copy almost 1/2 tb of photos to it. However, the backup software “provided” with the unit was NOT WD Backup as I expected; apparently WD Backup is no longer supported. WD outsourced the backup software to Acronis True Image who requires you to register for a free 4 yr license. After 4 years? Would I be able to recover it if I didn’t have Acronis‘s software? WD didn’t know about that. So, for now, it’s an inert storage device which is its intended use until I identify a backup software that simple enough for my needs. *Footnote to”would I recommend this”: If you know Acronis or don’t mind, it’s probably a great drive.

External hard drive appears to be working. No problems so far. Purchased as part of Geek Squad factory reset of my computer. No issues so far.

Started digitizing old photos and needed a safe place to store them. The WD - My Passport 2TB External USB 3.0 did the job. Installation was quick and easy and I was able to backup the computer. Very happy with it!

I have been wanting to get an external hard drive for all my pictures and videos. It was perfect for me to keep space open on my laptop and phone. It is convenient for me to keep everything organized.
