Bought this particular external storage to backup my photos and videos i had on my computer before i wiped it and after I transferred everything i still hd space for more storage. After doing some research between devices this came up as a good product compared to other seagate products and connects quickly to the computer. The only scary thing is the program on the product i can see could be easily deleted by accident but other than that it has saved me a great headache of buying multiple storage devices. I only used it for photos and videos i cant speak for games and backing up work files

Plenty of memory, quick and easy to use. Although definitely not as fast as a ssd but for what it is, it's pretty fast especially when plugged into a USB 3.0 slot.

very easy to install. WD has a lot of great support software and utilities on their website and the portability is the main reason to purchase this Hard Drive

Works fine for storing older Xbox games will not allow a Series S or X to read current gen games. Works fine for older games

I needed more storage room for all the pics I have so this was perfect. Keeps my computer from being slow due to the storage.

Seagate was the other brand I use to own. WD and Lacie have been my go-to's for photography and film, and WD has never let me down with any type of failure *knock on wood*. USB3 is fairly quick, and I'm looking forward to the next iteration of USB4. For Mac users, Chronosync is a great tool to backup your drives, and WD works well.

WD drives have shown high reliability which is critical for your backup data. Good performance and reliability measure up. Great device for the price.

Nice version of WD Passport - not as many frills as the Ultra - but it seems to get the job done

This external hard drive does everything I needed for transferring files from an 11-year old PC computer to a brand new PC computer. I was pleased with how fast it transferred my files and it worked with both computers as the technology on my old computer didn't always function well. I appreciate the portable size as well. There is more to this external hard drive than I understand. It looks like there is some sort of cloud storage offered with it as well. At this time, I did not take advantage of the cloud storage because I already have a cloud storage system that I use and didn't want to have my documents, photos, videos, etc. in so many different places. I also did not install any additional software provided. The next best thing was it was on sale!

This device is the perfect device for my data storage. I'm able to easily transfer data from one device to another as well as store and play media on my TV's.

i needed a hard drive to back up my desk top. my window 7 is going out. so i have to back up my data. i have another one for my lap top and WD passport are great.

I purchased these drives to backup end of days sales they work great no issues Western Digital is my choice when replacing or adding drives for any reason !!!

The laptop was convenient for me to do work at home. I am a teacher and I have to a lot of work at home. It has been helpful for me to do my workshops.
