I had to purchase this unit to facilitate the transfer of information from my old computer to my new computer. The Best Buy Geek Squad Agent said it worked fine. So, that's all I know!

Easy and Convenient

So far I have successfully used this device with nno more trouble than any other device or product. It seems to be holding onto the hype of my friends and colleagues and is faster than I expected even on my older computer. Transfer between device and computer through my USB 3.0 is almost as fast as moving to fully mounted drives for me. For those who are interested, I am using a Toshiba Satellite C55T with Linux Mint Mate 19.3. Thumbs up for this device.
