It turns out that WD is no longer updating its software, so they are contracting with another partner, but none of that is clear to the end user unless you call.

Nice pocket drive

I gave 4 stars because I assume it is a spinning drive. If it were SSD I would give it a 5. I’m not a fan of the WD backup software but I just use what’s built into the computer and it’s fine. Or do a manual backup if you prefer.
