I bought this portable hard drive to back up photos on our laptops. This is my second one. We've had a laptop just stop working, but by using one of these, I only lost a few days of data, but I've lost thousands of photos due to flooding and old age.

WD is legit. Works and is loyal. This was used for a PS5. Solid. I have many WD's for pc, xbox and playstation. All work really nice.

plug it in and it works as expected, very reliable so far

So far this has worked very well. I struggled to get it to work with my mac using the software that comes with the drive, but then read that it's easier to use the mac to reformat external hard drives for time machine.

I was looking for "My Passport" like I had previously, but they did not have the one I wanted, but the 2 TB on hand. It works just as well.

Good place store images and personal stuff. Working perfect till now. Password protection is the best.

This is the third Passport drive that I own. They work great. Good applications included. But would it be so hard to include setup instructions. Even looked on the WD website with little help.

Initially bought a different hard drive from Amazon that was glitchy and slow. Returned that and bought this instead - games are now downloading in a matter of minutes. I'm extremely happy with this, recommending to my family. Worth the price.

I needed more storage for my PS4. I purchased this after the recommendation of a Best Buy staff member who was very knowledgeable with this product. This was an excellent purchase and was easy to format. Works better than expected!

Bought this to facilitate moving scanned documents from my home computer to the system used where I am employed. It accomplished this just fine and I have also loaned it out to move old style VCR tapes to digital media. Very satisfied.

This is my second WD external hard drive. I had a computer failure and this hard drive saved all my information and transferred easily to my new Mac Desktop. A lifesaver!! Easily backs up my computer hourly in Time Machine.

Our laptop needed a new HD so we needed to save things from the old HD before the new one was installed. The price was right for the amount of storage, which we barely touched after transferring files, videos and more! Will be buying another one soon!

Just plug in and follow the easy instructions. No hassle. I recommend this to anyone. I used this on a Mac for a colleague of mine. Now she can utilize all the other space on her Mac for personal use while keeping work related items on this drive.
