All good, but I use it as dumb drive. I reformat and use it for data storage. Can't comment on any software it comes with.

These are the best external hard drives to get I have never had a major issue and when I had a small issue they replaced the hard drive no questions asked with the WD built in warranty.

I was able to plug it in and save files with encryption which prevents prying eyes. It is a spin drive so you do have to be careful not to jostle it especially when it is in use. I would buy another one if needed.

This WD Passport serves my backup needs well. I purchased it to upgrade to current technology, having appreciated a backup in the past to which I had to restore after a hard drive crash. Well worth the peace of mind!

I purchased this for my sister to put all of her grandchildren's pictures on as a back up. Very simple to use and she is very pleased.

Plug and play. Works just like a USB when plugged in and appears as My Passport. Works with Windows and Linux (Manjaro, Fedora, Zorin, ext). Awesome back up. Makes a little whirring sound when plugged in.

The external laptop is easy to use, compact, and simple.

This is my 3rd WD external HDD. First one 7 years ago and still going strong with all my data intact. Now they are both almost full and going for my 3rd but I still back up all my data in the cloud. So far, so good.

I love this sim Hard Drive option to carry with me anywhere. Easy storage and carrying option. It works well for what I use it, which is backing pictures and videos.

This is a very good drive. It has nicely fast read/write. It's lightweight, very portable and is simple to use. So far, it has had no glitches. This is my go-to drive for backing updata.

The users are developmentally disabled adults who don't know their own strength and have the demeaned of a bull in a China closet and they haven't damaged them at all with the protector. Unbelievable.

You can not go wrong with these WD external drives. Convenient and portable. Quick drives. The encryption is great.

This portable hard drive was bought to clone my original hard drive in order to upgrade to windows 10. Cloned without any problem and now this drive is stored as a permanent back up until I am sure there is no problems with 10, then will clone 10 and save as a backup. Quick drive, easy to plug and play.
