Every time I add a new computer to my "collection", I get a WD My Passport drive for its backup. Tiny form factor, bullet-proof performance, can't be beat - especially at this price!!

Does it's job just fine. The cost to benefit ratio is great, in my opinion

It was a lot smaller than I was expecting which was actually a plus. It is light and easy to store. It works as expected and is a great tool to reduce memory usage on my personal laptop.

I'm using my WD 2TB external drive for backups, it is easy to set up in my business laptop and fast to complete weekly partial backups. I suggest that you get the carry bag to protect better this drive and store the USB cable.

I bought this for my PlayStation pro and it has gotten me so much more space and it's awesome cuz it's portable you don't have to insert it into your machine it's amazing and if I'd buy it I'd recommend it to any friend

As my computer's main hard drive has begun to fill up I picked this up to hold my media files, and it's been excellent so far! Fast access and transfer, no problems playing through media player or VLC. An excellent deal.

I bought this to store more games since my storage on my gaming laptop wasn’t enough. It serves its purpose for the price! Recommend if you want a portable hard drive that’s not too pricey!

Great storage, does pretty well with video games too

I needed more storage, portable, and easy to use. Security was a must. I got all of the above with the WD Passport 2TB. There were higher and lower storage, but 2TB was enough for me.

My husband is a music artist and this has not failed him at all, it helps save and moves over all of his work and keeps it in a great place ! “Tevo Mac” is his artist name and he has new releases !

It's not a bad choice, but I'd only recommend it to cautious folks. I’ve had a few scares with it, and over time, it hasn't been as responsive as when I first started using it. I'd say it's better for smaller projects like photo editing and design work, but not ideal for video editing or animation.

Some things to get clear with this product: Quality: This external hard drive has a very high quality feel, the case is well designed and the read/write speeds are consistent in benchmarks. Ease of use: I have to give this portable hard drive a 3 out of 5 because for some reason even after I plugged it into my pc, it didn’t even tell me that I had to format it even though all the disk space was unallocated, maybe I got a bad unit or something but if someone who didn’t know how to format a drive got this, they’d probably have a hard time figuring out what to do with this product. Other than that it should just be a simple plug and play item. Value: even though it’s not stated directly on the box, this is a 2TB SSD that’s inclosed in the housing and in fact not an HDD which is good news, usually you find 2TB SSDs to be hundreds of dollars because they are so fast but this one was about $90 and was a great deal, if you are running low on space this is a great option to consider.

Unbelievable value for the price. This was easy to add to my computer. 2T is a lot of storage for something this size. The added security features add to this great value.
