    This 2TB WD is smaller than the WD 1 TB that I purchased a year ago, I purchased to go with a non-functioning hard drive so Geek Squad repair would use to put the recovered data on it. Had previously wondered how I could tell apart 1TB to 2TB until I saw them both together.

    The write speed will heavily depend on your computer/laptop since my older laptop took an hour to write what my newer one does in 10 minutes. It's pretty portable and easy to just copy your files over. It does not come with a USB3.0 to USB C connector so you'll need to use your own.

    Since I am teaching from home this semester (at least) I wanted to back up the items on my university computer and on my own personal laptop to have quick access to things and to prevent any catastrophic loss. It took very little time to set up the hard drive. It is very intuitive to use and copied the files quickly.
