Stopped Working Almost Immediately

The first WD drive I purchased worked fine and is still working. The second one started to allow me to put footage on it but then stopped working. I tried to reformat it but nothing worked. When I tried to add the footage it would just make a weird clicking sound. I told me DP about it and he said what brand did I buy. I told him WD and he said that was a mistake. In the past when he purchased WD drives, he said 4 out of 5 times they didn't last. That being the case and after my own experience, I will never buy WD drives again. And I will not buy anything from Best Buy again either. Their return policy is too short; only 14 days. I was out of the country and then flew to New York to film and by the time I got home the return window was over. Even though the drive didn't work the very first day I tried to use it, Best Buy won't allow a refund if you're past the return window. That's a BIG mistake by Best Buy; having short return periods when everyone else allows a much longer return window, especially Amazon. I won't buy anything from Best Buy any more because of their short return policy.

Simple but Useful Hard Drive
