I bought this unit for my wife and hope it will last her long enough to serve her needs for several years. She's only had it for a month and seems quite happy with its performance.

Like the quick response when moving files from computer to this. Quick and easy. The store rep suggested this partition item, and so far I've been very pleased.

It’s a hard drive. Be nice to it and it will be nice to you. The usb 3 connected to my NAS was speedy and reliable. Easily recognized by all my devices I plugged it into.

I needed a good portable hard drive and this one by WD did not disappoint. I will definitely be buying on of these again when i need one.

It seems that additional memory or external hard drives are necessary in today’s time with HD video. This unit is small and compact. It has fast image / video recall. I would recommend this unit.

This external hard drive helps to save old videos from my kids childhood. I don't want to tale a chance on losing and be able to share these times with my grandchildren.

I think this is a very good value. It's my backup device. It was on the slow side handling the "restore" (my reason for 4 stars) I needed to do with Carbonite. However it got the job done. It also had good independent reviews.

My fav brand for years. Tried Seagate and resulted unreliable, prone to fails, HORRIBLE and Unacceptable Customer Support, Hidden, deceiving and shaming return policies. Had Seagate lasting within deceiving Manufacturing warranty, stopped running locking thousand of of my photo collection. I worked in IT for years and never had problems with WD products. Do yourself a favor have a couple of WD and make duplicates backups,,just in case one fails.

I'm a photographer who needed a nice drive to serve as a backup to large RAW files. This hard drive works well and has plenty of storage.

I had one that lasted a few years but finally died. I like the design. The lines add some extra grip. I usually just add movies/shows and just plug it into a tv and it's good to go. Plenty of space for so much stuff.

It was easy to use, have loaded multiple large files, about 4 years of photographs, and large scanned art work it didn't even leave a scratch on the amount I can still yes.

Easy software installation and use. Plug and play use has been great.
