    Got it to back up home PC. The WD software that came with it was useless. Not at all user friendly. Decided to use Norton backup software and it works great.

    I've used WD hard drives for years, including the My Passport series. And, they've always performed as advertised. I needed a new drive to pair with my laptop, as it only has a smaller SSD drive. Connecting over USB 3 has worked well. Data transfer speeds have been good, and I don't even notice that I'm using an external drive for most of my backup and storage needs. Very pleased with my purchase!
