Good product although a little expensive. The size is good although again a little pricy.

I purchased this drive to use for backing up my primary system and assorted other files. I was able to partition it, install a Linux system of its own on it, boot-up the system installed on it, and backup everything to it from within that system all without any problems. It did seem to get a bit warmer than I thought it would during the initial backup process, but everything went smoothly and it looks like all the data is there. Western Digital has been my go-to drive brand for many a year now, with the only failure in that time being caused by me, so I'm expecting this drive to function well and last for a good while

This external storage is the perfect size for using at school. The price is very reasonable.

Picked this up for my daughter to back up her laptop and add some extra storage for her wedding planning. Works great and without issue. Already filling with photos.

These External Drives Are Great for Storage and replay on PC's and TV's. However... once in a while you get one that is defective. Just return it and get another one or just a refund.

I was surprised by the size of this portable drive, it is much smaller than my previous WD My Passport. I use it for Time Machine backups on my macbook pro, so I can't attest to its speed of writing/reading, since I don't care much. I did notice that the first backup (500GB) took a while, but other than that it's silent and works well in the background. I can travel with it due to how flat it is, so that's another plus. Setting it up was easy. I plugged it on, opened Time Machine and selected the drive. Time machine required to format it in order to use it, but that didn't take long and in no time it was backing up.

Simple and easy to use. Good storage space, good price. Perfectly happy with it. Also, I like to support Best Buy because I appreciate being able to see product that I'm buying before paying for it. Also, Best Buy backs up their products so I support them as much as possible.

My old laptop is starting to run extremely slow and I’m sure it won’t last much longer. I have years of files and pictures that I don’t want to loose. Set up was easy. I did go online to watch video on set up. I’m glad I did, I was not aware that you need to connect these every year or two to prevent damage and total loss.
