It didn't come with any instructions at all and it wasn't until I searched the WD website did I find the backup downloads needed. Set up was easy enough, but it didn't take long to run out of space. Why,? I don't know, but it is twice the memory size of my entire laptop. Learn more about this device before buying.

Easy to use and fast. USB 3.0 means really fast data transfer. Am not using the auto backup with my Surface, but I have used that software on another computer and it seems to work fine.
