Great hard drive.

I struggled to get it to work with my mac using the software that comes with the drive, but then read that it's easier to use the mac to reformat external hard drives for time machine.

It accomplished this just fine and I have also loaned it out to move old style VCR tapes to digital media. Very satisfied.

Safely stored my information

I had a computer failure and this hard drive saved all my information and transferred easily to my new Mac Desktop. A lifesaver!! Easily backs up my computer hourly in Time Machine.

Like the small size!

Drove up to the store and trusted them to choose the right external portable hard drive for me. It wasn't quite big enough to meet my needs, but close enough for the price.

Good applications included. But would it be so hard to include setup instructions. Even looked on the WD website with little help.

Large capacity drive

The only complaint I would have is the speed at which it does it! An SSD drive works much faster but also costs much more. If speed is not a priority then this drive should do fine.

The process took several hours. It worked well although I have only had it for a short time so can't speak to issue of how well or how long it will take to backup next time.
