I don't think much thought went into this but when its less expensive there is a reason why.

Passport - wish it was more user friendly

Did not have step by step instructions. I had to contact the Best Buy Geek Squad to get it to work, but even then was not on the right track so ended up bringing it back to the store to get it to back up the info I wanted.

I guess these work good for around 3 years, and then start giving issues - slowness, data inaccessible etc. But seems this is the case with all the portable hard drives. So I keep on buying every 2-3 years so not to loose any data.
