WD 1 TB Drive does not work from the first use

I should have returned it but I thought it was not a big deal and once I format the drive this message would stop and I could use the drive, but it did not and now I am after the allowed return period.

You can only save old games and you would have to download them off of the phd so you can actually play them.

I bought it and the same day I uploaded all my pictures from an old trip to puerto Vallarta and then the hard drive malfunction and I lost everything. The guy at geek squad told me sometimes they malfunction and that they could try to salvage my pictures for a few hundred dollars I was like no way jose and got a refund for that crap.

First it wouldn't format. Actually had to go back to the store and the applecare advisor had to do it. He did the same steps we did at home but would not work on my home mac. Then it worked fine for a short time and all of a sudden I could not see the drive anymore after all of my data was already on there. After a while it came back again; again for a short time. Right now again it is not recognized by my Mac. . .would not purchase again.

It presents itself as simple, plug and play. However there’s software that it asks you to install that creates all kinds of additional complexity. I promptly returned this and got another one which works much better.

I've owned it for less than a month and it has stopped working. It's loaded with many hundreds of photos that I can no longer access. Trouble shooting the device has proven to be futile. I will be taking it back to the store tomorrow but still I'm unable to retrieve my data from it. Piece of trash!
