This WD 2TB portable hard drive is very compact and easy to use. Great value and excellent option for data and file back-up purposes.

As the portable name says, it definitely is. It is light but very good quality cin 2 tb, enough space for what one wants to keep and carry.

The physical size of the drive was smaller than I expected. The 2TB was more than enough space to save photos and videos that I had stored in the cloud and multiple different flash drives. Software was easy to install and works great with my Google drive. Only downside is the software is a bit temperamental and closes everytime you click out of the program.

I have only had it for a month or so but it has been easy to use and very reliable so far. It is a nice size also.

I've had no issues so far and the Hard Drive loads quickly. I'd say it's worth the money for the amount of space and the ease of use. All you're doing is plugging this thing in and you can use the WD Locker application built in or not. I believe the Locker function works as the encryption, but don't quote me. I'm not the best with the technical jargon, I just need something to store my files that are clogging up my computer's hard drive. And when it comes to that, this drive gets the job done.

Great Storage capacity for a very reasonable price. Connection and use easy. Used to backup entire computer. Very small size.

As a Youtuber who records a lot and often takes editing on the good, This was the perfect way to take the load off my PC hard.

This is actually my second time buying this product.I liked the way it work,easy and simple just plug it in to any usb port and youre good to go. Its really small too compare to my previous external hard drive.Definitely recommend this product

Hasn't yet had the change to withstand the test of time, but it is well built and gives no issues. Work bought a prebuilt computer that doesn't have space for internal drives and this is used as an expansion to that systems storage. Has been being used for a server and is doing great.

It has lots of storage and is easy to use. I just plug it into my device and it transfers everything with ease.

Ver happy with the price for the amount of storage space. And it is very small - smaller than a deck of cards. It says it comes with an auto backup program, but you have to call and get a link to download the program. So far, it hasn't done a complete backup. I don't know why or even IF it's actually backing anything up! Also, the service number given is for Sandisc, and they don't service this WD drive! They keep referring me to the WD service. So far they've only given me instructions to use the Windows 10 backup, and that hasn't worked either... But, it does store the files I've manually dragged and dropped into it.

Installation as a Mac Time Machine backup drive couldn't be easier. Plug it into a USB slot and MAC OS sees it and asks if you want to use it for Time Machine. Reply Yes and you are done. If you don't need 2 GB for backups and want to split it, use disk manager to create 2 partitions, and tell Time Machine which one to use. You can format the second partition and use it as extra storage. Great for people with smaller SSD storage for storing pictures, documents or whatever.

This 2 Terabyte External Has been extremely helpful in saving all of my collegiate documents. It works for all computer devices with a 3.0 usb and usb c connect. It worked on my Mac and Chromebook, newer versions. Careful though, there is the option to erase the drive during setup on a Mac.
