It was very easy to use the WD - My Passport External USB portable Hard Drive. The file encryption software is reliable and I feel confident to use. The only question I have is what to do if I ever lose my password? I always carry with me my important files with the confidence that I can use them wherever I am even if I do not have an internet connection.

Needed a rough hard drive, preferable one without moving internal parts (SS). It was to upload all my PC personal files and many pictures. At the same time it had to be simple to use and easy to operate. And as a final note it had to have the capability to load large quantity of data with a reasonable price. This was all available with this product, and had to settled in the middle of the road, when it came to capacity (2T) as it comes in higher capacity. It fulfiulled all my demands.

I bought this hard drive to copy my system image so I could do a clean install of windows 10 pro. It worked great! No issues. I have my school laptop backed up on it since I only have a 128GB SSD in my laptop. It allows me to save my work from previous semesters on it and clean my main hard drive. Also made a separate partition on it without any issues.

Only using for Xbox one. My son wanted to use it for clips and games so we didn't know that once it's formatted for games he would be unable to use it for his clips unless he reformat it. It's no big deal but he has certain games he actually loves to play so he still doesn't have the space he originally was looking to have without going thru the process of reformatting on pc. Overall works for what we need and that's the extra space and he's no longer having issues where his system had started to crash from lack of storage. He's currently only using it for the games.

I was just sick and tired of not having enough space for all my jpegs. I’d see a pic really enjoy, click “save target as”, type in some random series of letters and numbers (so the likelyhood of copying over another great pic with a random name) and boom...no room on drive! Not anymore! With a 2TB disk drive I can save 2TBs of JPEGs or BMPs, or even GIFs.
