This is a great portable drive for the price point. The drive is fast, so it makes securing your documents and pictures a breeze, consider it cheap insurance should something ever go wrong.

Western Digital's My Passport 2TB External USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive is very fast and a dependable back-up. I constantly back up my work stations that have heavy graphics. I am very pleased!!!!!

purchased this for a family member after hard drive failure with no backup. I was able to recover all the data and set up the family member for backups. It was easy to do.

The drive comes with 3 free software applications: backup, utilities and security. The Utilities program lets you check for SMART errors, and allows you to run a short and long drive test. The security program allows you to password protect and encrypt your drive. The backup program allows you to back up your computer on a daily, weekly or monthly schedule. It also gives you some control over what gets backed up. In my opinion, you can’t really go wrong getting western digital. In my experience WD sets the standard for quality and reliability.

Great external hard drive for extra storage. A little noisy at times when it runs but all in all a great gift for my boyfriend who loves video games and needs lots of room on his xbox.

I love it, I can save so much information on these. I sew and need PDFs and other types of instructions and I can save them all in one file, and not worry about using up my computer space.

As today's (C) drives are separated from the (D) drive and I use a lot of memory for animated videos. Spending the extra money on the 2TB instead of the 1TB was well worth the price.

Bought this hard drive to store pictures. Use it with my Surface Go, and works great. Had to purchase a USB to C connector, as the Surface Go only has a USB-C connection.

I HAVE to have an external backup of my work. I have lost 3 hard drives and the backup saved my skin by allowing retrieval of lost data. You just plug and play, that's it.
