Great backup. Hope it lasts longer than the 4GB "My Passport" that I purchased last year. It only lasted a year.

This hard drive has changed my entire life. Bought for the sole purpose of an expansion for my Xbox One, but it does so much more. It's magical.

Wanted a roomy external drive without the need for a separate power supply. This 3TB drive was just the thing to expand the storage of my Xbox One. I am a big fan of the Toshiba Canvio drives (I also have a 2TB Canvio connected to that Xbox One), but those aren't being made anymore. This is my new preferred brand.

It's excellent for saving pictures and movies on. It's small for the storage you get and retrieves files quickly.

I bought this 3 TB hard drive on sale for 99 - 25 visa check out. I didn't need all this space but for the price of 2 TB I figure why not. I planned to store all my videos and pictures on this drive. I like how the cables are color matched to the drive and all my friends recommend wd because it's reliable.

I have used both Seagate Slim and Western Digital multi-Terabyte backup drives. I have never had an issue with either one. However, I do like the Western Digital backup utility better. When you drill down to find a file it has the same folder structure as my Documents on my PC. Easy to find things. It does save everything even old things that you may have deleted. It does not bother me at all because of the file naming methodology I have used for years. So, you have to be careful in finding your latest version. The Seagate utility has a lot of subfolders that just save what you did that day. So, finding the last version of a file is very cumbersome.

First, it's smaller than I thought possible. AND....It backed up almost 1TB of data/photos/etc from my laptop at an amazing speed. Interface/start-up was easier than easy, where WD took me step by step in simple language/execution. Couldn't have been more logical/easy/simple.

Perfect companion to your computer or laptop to backup up critical files, ensuring that key information is not lost in the event of a hard drive failure. Has bailed me out a couple of times when my work desktop computer and my laptop failed.

Was a decent price. My last wd did crash after 8 years. Always backup. Maybe have a backup for your backup

I bought this product to be able to download thousands and thousands of songs from a DJ's library so that I can go out and do this type of business as well. What a great tool! I can also use this to backup my personal computer. It was so easy to use and I trust that it will last a long time!

Plugged this into my Xbox One (not the One S) and it automatically asked if I wanted to use it for apps and storage. Once I said "yes", the Xbox handled it perfectly. This is a great solution for expanding Xbox One storage!!!

Got this on sale, love the size and works great for backing up photos. Easy to transport with a laptop.

I used this drive to backup my MacBook Pro to Time Machine. While not as fast as a SSD, the usb 3.0 connection makes it pretty speedy and much less expensive. After all it’s only a backup disk, it doesn’t need to be lightning fast. It needs to be reliable!

This is my first external hard drive. I use it to back up data on my laptop. It stores a lot of data so it will be a while before I fill it up. Much better than saving data to CDs or DVDs. Everyone should have a means to back up their computer. This is a good way to go.

It is small and slick look. It runs very fast to back up a folder that has lots of files.

Didn't work well with MacBook Pro. Doesn't eject after it is plugged in have to completely turn laptop off before unplugging. Seems very unstable, this never happened when I had Segate! If you use Apple products and are going to buy WD make sure you get the Accple compatible version to avoid potential connection issues and possible data loss.

All of my old (1937) photos of family, etc, were in my older computer. I needed it worked on and I wanted to make sure that I did not lose any of these photos and other documents. I was able to transfer everything to the new WD Passport. Wonderful!

I had ton of files that I needed to unload the hard drive made it easy for me to do that.

Purchased My Passport to back up my laptop while it went in for a hard drive change. I actually did a mirror image of the laptop in case anything went wrong. Next I used to to do a mirror image of my second laptop. Very easy to operate.

The drive is great for the price. Only downside that I have is it doesn't work on my WDTV box.
