This is used for my son's PS4. He needed additional memory. This works great and gives him plenty of extra memory.

Works as expected; a bit slower on legacy 2.0 USB as is normal. Case is plastic, so get the ultra if you want metal.

Bought it to save Xbox one games on. Downloads quickly. It's quiet and I like that you don't need an additional power source for it to work.

Purchased for external storage for XBox. Working perfectly and like the no external power supply needed. Just plug n play.

Using two of these for time machine backups with a 2017 MacBook pro. Seems to backup much faster that the old drives. All good.

There are obviously better hard drives out there in the world with better hdd's and better build quality, but these WD drives are worth the price and are great for temporary storage / shuttle drives.

Maybe I'm not tech savvy enough, but these plug-n-play devices are not so easy. I've completed 2 or 3 backups and now can't do another because the drive is full. Shouldn't it overwrite the oldest backup? I can't find a setting or button to tell it to do this.

This drive is performing exactly as it should. I like the blue color so it’s different from the other drives on my system.

Bought WD external HDDs in the past and they were generally reliable. This particular one I had to return because I did not end up needing it, but I have had generally good experiences with multiple other similar drives I purchased in the past.

I have 4 of these hard drives and think they are exceptional except for the last one I bought, that one started beeping after being plugged into my MAC for a short time. Googled it and looks like I go a bad drive this time. Will return it for a replacement.
